The Verbier Festival is an international classical music event that takes place each summer in the mountain town of Verbier, Switzerland. The Festival’s mission is to build a community of exchange between great masters and young artists from all over the world and to be a leader in its field by providing meaningful music education programmes.
Launched in 1994, and now globally renowned, the Festival welcomes audiences with a distinctive and exhilarating blend of events, both large-scale and intimate. Audiences from around the globe come to experience music-making at the highest level in a setting that brings them close to star performers, rising talent and a complete process of learning, rehearsal and performance.
The Festival’s Academy and Orchestra programmes are its respiratory system—a talent incubator where future talents are discovered and nurtured. These programmes set the gold standard for training of emerging soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians, singers and conductors. Each summer, audiences witness these musicians in action at more than 100 masterclasses, rehearsals and performances. The Verbier Festival Orchestra has become a rite of passage for today’s exceptional young orchestral musicians and the Academy’s programmes for soloists, chamber musicians and singers include an impressive list of alumni from over 60 countries who have been engaged by the world’s leading concert presenters since their time in Verbier.
The Festival’s third pillar, UNLTD, is a creative laboratory that awakens curiosity for music across genres and generations. Throughout the year, and during the summer when it is dubbed a “Festival within the Festival”, UNLTD offers a programme of music awakening through imaginative concerts, workshops, talks and immersive experiences that transcend musical boundaries.

Shenzhen Concert HallShenzhen Concert Hall is located in the central area of Futian District, Shenzhen. It is a modern professional hall specifically designed and constructed for music performance. It lies upon the beautiful Lianhuashan Park to the north and connects with Shenzhen City Hall to the south. It covers a surface area of 26,345 square meters and a construction area of 41,423 square meters. The hall is designed by Arata Isozaki, a famous Japanese architecture master, who is the Laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize and enjoys a reputation in the international construction field. The outlook and shape of this architecture are very special. The outer walls are painted in five different colors: yellow, red, blue, white and black, which represent the traditional Chinese ideologies for the five elements. In this way, a combined style of Chinese and western cultures is presented.
Shenzhen Concert Hall is constituted by Symphony Hall, Theater Studio and other subordinate facilities. The Symphony Hall and Theater Studio are designed according to international standards and they are suitable for the performance of symphony, chamber music, instrumental music solo, ensemble, concerto, vocal solo, multiple duets, group singing, chorus, opera, oratorio, light opera, and musicals. Besides, it can also present music shows in the forms of movie concert, jazz, music prose recitation, spot music fashion show and hold international or domestic music contests and music award ceremonies. There are subordinate facilities like Golden Tree Foyer, Outdoor Music Square, Recording Studio, Video Studio, VIP Room, Dressing Room, and Audience Lounge. Besides, those facilities have greatly enriched the artistic charm and practical functions of the hall. While strolling inside, you will feel the sense of art and obtain the spiritual pleasure. -
Longgang International Arts CenterThe Longgang International Arts Center is a major municipal cultural and sports facility in Shenzhen, positioned as a world-class integrated innovation base for technology and culture. It aims to become a benchmark smart cultural venue in the Greater Bay Area and a high-level public art space for citizens.
Covering a site area of 43,000 square meters with a total floor space of 110,200 square meters, the project involves a total investment of 2,086 billion yuan. Its key facilities include: an International Performing Arts Center (featuring a 1,457-seat 5G-enabled smart theater, 540-seat small theater, 305-seat concert hall, and various rehearsal rooms/creative studios). An Art Exhibition and Experience Incubation Center (housing digital art galleries, exhibition spaces, and a tech-art incubation hub). A Tech-Art Education Center with supporting public art education programs.
The design scheme emerged victorious through an international competition, led by TVS Design - a top-ten American architectural firm. The architecture poetically interprets the lyrical beauty of traditional Chinese instruments like the pipa, xun, and erhu through formal expressions, material details, and spatial configurations. Notably, its innovative spatial organization metaphorically invites visitors to experience the venue as if inside musical instruments - with natural light filtering through "sound holes" and "finger holes" to create unique immersive artistic encounters.
Construction commenced in November 2021, with completion expected by the end of 2025. -
